Gates, fences and guards

Almost every gate we make is hung between things that are already there — stone pillars, a slope, an old post. That is a measuring job before it is a fabricating one.

Pedestrian gates
Single leaf, to match or to contrast with the fence it sits in.
Driveway gates
Single and double leaf, swing or slide, sized to the opening and the slope. A driveway that rises is the detail that decides the whole design.
Fences
Aluminum for outside and low maintenance, steel when the pattern has to be made rather than bought.
Pool fencing
Height, opening limits and self-closing hardware follow the Ontario Building Code and the municipal pool by-law. We measure to those, not to the neighbour’s fence.
Industrial
Guards, bollards and protection around loading and plant areas.

About automated gates

Here is the line we will not blur. We fabricate and install the gate, the posts and the hinges, and we build it to take an operator — the correct post, the correct swing, the conduit where it needs to be.

The operator, the electrical and the safety devices are installed by the trades licensed to do that work, coordinated with us. A shop that tells you it does all of it in house is either subcontracting it quietly or doing it without the licence.
